U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today congratulated 11 students from the Third District who received appointments to the nation’s military academies or scholarships to academy prep schools. 

Congressman Boozman will host a congratulatory picnic honoring the students on June 7th at Park Springs Park in Bentonville beginning at 11:30 a.m.

 The following Third District students received academy appointments or prep school scholarships:

United States Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

● Evan Abrect of Farmington. Evan attended Farmington High School and is the son of Derric and Marcey Abrect

● Calvin Johnson of Bella Vista. Calvin attended Gravette High School and is the son of Calvin and Lori Johnson of Bella Vista.

● Andrew Loyd of Van Buren. Andrew attended Van Buren High School and is the son of David and Susie Loyd.

● Jennifer Parker of Rogers. Jennifer attended Northwest Arkansas Community College and is the daughter of Richard and Marianne Parker.

United States Naval Academy (Annapolis, Md.)

● Jordan Roach of Siloam Springs. Jordan was home schooled at Christian Home Educators of Siloam Springs.  He is the son of John and Dawn Roach. 

● Nicholas DeLuca of Bentonville. Nicholas attended Bentonville High School and is the son of Joseph and Laura DeLuca.

   US Military Academy (West Point, New York) 

● PFC Daniel J. Balow of Alma. Daniel is the son of Rick and Paula Walker.

● Eric Jones of Springdale. Eric attended the U.S. Military Prep School in Fort Monmouth, NJ and is the son of Darwyn and Lori Jones.

United States Coast Guard Academy (New London, Conn.)

● Gina Caylor of Fayetteville. Gina attended Fayetteville High School and is the daughter of Gary and Donna Caylor. 

United States Military Academy Prep School (Fort Monmouth, N.J.) Scholarship

● Nathan Hughes of Bentonville. Nathan attended Bentonville High School. He is the son of Paul and Debbie Hughes. 

● Robert Pennington of Rogers. Robert attended Rogers High School.  His parents are stepfather Roger Clement and mother Roxanne Clement.
