Washington, May 1, 2008 -

U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today congratulated Jeff Mosby, a Fort Smith Ramsey Junior High science teacher for receiving the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).

Boozman honored Mosby for receiving this distinguished accomplishment, the highest award a kindergarten-12 mathematics or science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the United States.

“Honoring Jeff for his work in the classroom is a privilege,” Boozman said. “His continued commitment to Arkansas students is impressive and the interest he takes in making sure his students get excited about science is something we can all be proud of.”

PAEMST is awarded to outstanding mathematics and science teachers from each of the 50 states and four U.S. jurisdictions (Washington D.C.; Puerto Rico; Department of Defense Schools; and the U.S. territories as a group: American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
