Boozman announces U of A grant

Mar 28, 2008 -
U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today announced that the University of Arkansas has been awarded a $209,282 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services.
The money was awarded through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute which supports research related to cardiovascular health. The institute encourages ways to improve health through its grant program.
“I’m excited to see funds go to local researchers who can help find solutions to health concerns,” Boozman said. “This shows how vital Northwest Arkansas is to the health community.”
This funding allows the University of Arkansas to conduct a study on pulmonary hypertension.
